Bicycling is a great way to exercise save fuel, and help the environtment. We can all make the earth a better place by riding bicycles.

Math facts used for this worksheet:
Time = distance/speed
1 kilometer = 1000 meters

Use a calculator to solve the problem below.

1. Andi rides his bike 16 kilometers to school. If Andi’s average speed while riding to school is 12 kilometers per hour, how long will it take him to get to school ?

2. Sarah’s bike travel 2 meters each time her wheels go around one complete revolution. How many times would Sarah’s wheel go round to travel 1 kilometer
on her bike ? (Hint, there are 1000 meters in a kilometer)

3. Each time Jil turns the pedals around one complete turn, her bike travel 2.5 meters. If Jill turned the pedals around 800 times, how many meters would she have traveled ?

4. There are 1000 meters in 1 kilometer. Using your answer in problem 3, how many meters did Jill travel when she turned the the pedals on her bike 800 times ?

5. If Jill’s bike travel 4 meter each time she turns the pedals are complete turn, how many times would she have to turn the pedals to travle 3 kilometers ?

Math Answer:

1. Time = distance/speed (16/12= 1.3 hours)
2. 1000 km/2 meter = 500 wheel rotations
3. 800 x 2.5 meters = 2000 meters
4. 200/1000 = 2 kilometers
5. Jill wolud have turned the pedals 750 timesto travle 3 kilometers if her bike traveled 4 meters each time the pedals were turned. This is calculated by first converting 3 kilometers into meters: 1000 meters x 3 = 3000 meters. You then divide 4 meter into 3000 meters to determine the number of times Jill needed to turn the pedals to travle 3 kilometers: 3000 meters/4 meters = 750 pedal rotations.

Mathematics for the majority of students are still regarded as a frightening subject. Do not know why until now, these subjects are still feared. Difficult? Complicated? Various reasons can be raised. And math is not hard science, and sometimes the same level with they have difficult immunization social sciences. It’s just more sure of Mathematics. So because of that certainty of mathematics should be easier. Download math problems?
Some things that can hinder the learning of mathematics:
