Rini was assigned to take a journey from place A to place B on the condition that he should not follow the path of straight line from A to B. He was given 2 choices, first take the form of half-way great circle arc AB and the second through an arc-shaped path AC followed the path that shaped arc CB.
Given that the distance of a place A to place B is 10 km and the C right in the middle of the line AB. Determine how the difference in distance traveled by the first choice and the distance traveled by the second option !
